Trial Production of Vacuum Closed Casting 42CrMo4 and 41Cr4 Quenched & Tempered Steels Successfully Completed

At Hasçelik, we have taken another significant step forward in our quality- and innovation-driven approach to steel production. We are proud to announce the successful completion of trial production for 42CrMo4 and 41Cr4 grade quenched and tempered steels using vacuum closed casting technology in our new-generation steel plant.

This achievement reflects the level Hasçelik has reached in producing high-quality steels with its advanced manufacturing infrastructure. The combined use of vacuum and closed casting technologies significantly reduces undesirable gases such as hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen in alloyed steels. This results in improved internal homogeneity, superior machinability, and high-performance final products.

Higher Quality, Greater Reliability, Longer Lifespan

This new level of technology in quenched and tempered steels provides critical advantages for our customers operating in sectors where high strength, fatigue resistance, and machinability are essential. These steel grades, widely used in strategic industries such as automotive, machinery manufacturing, Aerospace, and energy, are now more reliable, of higher quality, and offer more predictable performance.

Shaping the Future of Production with High Technology

As part of Hasçelik’s vision for sustainable quality, this production process represents an approach focused on reduced environmental impact, high energy efficiency, and controlled production. With our new investments and technological infrastructure, we aim to set not only today’s but also tomorrow’s production standards.

We believe that these first vacuum closed casting quenched and tempered steels from our next-generation steel plant will add great value to our customers and raise the performance bar across many industries.

At Hasçelik, we continue to lead the “Value Journey of Steel.”
