Hasçelik’s next-generation steelmaking facility is a modern steel production center equipped with Turkey’s first continuous horizontal charging electric arc furnace (EAF).

Hasçelik Steel Mill Facility: A Focus on Sustainability and Efficiency

By commissioning Turkey’s first electric arc furnace (EAF) equipped with Consteel® Evolution technology, Hasçelik has taken a major step forward in sustainable steel production. Located in the Bilecik Osmaneli Organized Industrial Zone on a 176,000 m² area, this cutting-edge facility sets a new benchmark in the industry with its emphasis on environmental sustainability and energy efficiency, while enabling the production of high-quality steel grades.

Thanks to the Consteel® Evolution system and the integrated Consteerrer® electromagnetic stirring technology, the steelmaking process achieves high levels of chemical homogeneity, significantly reduces production defects, and maximizes operational efficiency. In addition, advanced automation systems ensure high standards in occupational health and safety through optimized and controlled processes.

Commissioned in 2025, the facility has an annual billet production capacity of 300,000 tons, serving both Turkey’s and the global market’s demand for premium-grade steel.

Steel Production with Recycled Scrap

Hasçelik’s steelmaking operations rely entirely on recycled scrap metal. Our Scrap Raw Material Department oversees all procurement and supply processes.
