Occupational Health and Safety Week Activities Held at Hasçelik

As part of the Occupational Health and Safety Week, celebrated every year between May 4–10, various awareness activities were organized at Hasçelik once again this year. Through initiatives carried out by our OHS&E Team, direct engagement was established with employees across all facilities and warehouses, supporting the advancement of a strong safety culture within the organization.

During the week-long site visits, special emphasis was placed on the 2025 Occupational Health and Safety theme: “Emergency Situations, Earthquake and Fire.” Employees were reminded of safe behavioral practices, protection methods, and key preventive measures related to emergency scenarios. The primary aim of these information sessions was to strengthen safety awareness and promote a sustainable safe working environment.

As part of the program, university student groups were also welcomed to our facilities for field tours. Students had the opportunity to closely observe Hasçelik’s production processes and received detailed information regarding our occupational health and safety practices. With this experience, Hasçelik’s strong commitment to workplace safety was conveyed to future engineers and industry professionals.

At Hasçelik, we continue to place the safety of our employees among our highest priorities and remain committed to maintaining a sustainable, healthy, and secure working environment. In line with this approach, we aim to further enhance all initiatives that support the development of a robust occupational safety culture.
