Hasçelik, which has been operating in the steel industry for over 55 years, hosted a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, Oruç Baba İnan, and Abdurrahman Aydın, the General Director of Industrial Zones at the Ministry of Industry and Technology, at its production facility in Gebze. During the visit, the delegation toured both the hot production line and Hasçelik’s new chrome-plated shaft facility, which represents a 35 million Euro investment. The delegation was accompanied by Adnan Naci Faydasıçok, Chairman and CEO of Hasçelik, and Fatih Faydasıçok, Vice Chairman and COO of Hasçelik, who provided important insights into high-quality steel production.
Faydasıçok emphasized the importance of steel production for a developed industry during the visit, saying, “We are extremely proud and happy to have had the Ministry officials visit Hasçelik. As a company with over 55 years of experience in the steel sector, we are working tirelessly to increase production and employment in our country and to make value-added exports a key part of our business. In 2023, we took the first steps for two new production facilities. Currently, with a total of 5 production facilities in Kocaeli and Konya, and 12 steel service centers, including 3 abroad, we provide employment for over a thousand people. With our 150 million Euro investment in the steel mill, which we aim to activate in the last quarter of 2024 in Bilecik, we aim to increase our exports and contribute to reducing the country’s current account deficit.”
“I would like to express my gratitude to the Hasçelik family for the library they have contributed to. I believe this library will serve as an important center for the development of our students and will play a crucial role in their educational and teaching lives. I wish it great success for our region,” he added.
