May 10, 2025, was not just a production day for Hasçelik; it marked a historic milestone where our sustainability vision, advanced technology goals, and regional development mission came to life.
The first casting at our next-generation steel mill investment in Osmaneli, Bilecik, was successfully completed.
Our Osmaneli Steel Mill was designed in line with our environmentally conscious production approach and sets an exemplary model in the steel industry for sustainable manufacturing through:
energy efficiency,
digital automation systems, and
the first-ever implementation in Turkey of horizontal scrap preheating technology.
Our new facility was built in collaboration with leading technology partners such as Tenova, SMS Group, and ABB. The Consteel® EAF system, integrated with electromagnetic stirring technology, ensures both high efficiency and environmental sustainability in our steelmaking operations.
Economic and Social Contribution
This investment not only expands Hasçelik’s production capacity but also delivers long-term economic value, employment, and educational opportunities to the Bilecik region. With social impact projects designed to offer new career paths for young talents, our facility also contributes to the development of a highly qualified local workforce.
End-to-End Integrated Production: Investing in the Future
Built as an end-to-end integrated facility — from scrap steel to high-grade bright steel production — the Osmaneli plant will deliver sustainable steel solutions to strategic industries such as automotive, machinery manufacturing, energy, mining, and aerospace.
At Hasçelik, through this strategic investment, we are reducing external dependency, strengthening our export capacity, and contributing to Turkey’s industrial vision.
