"If You Do Your Job Right, Peace Will Follow"

Can you briefly introduce yourself?

Arif Kılıç: Of course! I was born in 1988, and I’m 37 years old. I joined Hasçelik on February 8, 2016, and have been here for nine years. I spent my first 3.5 years in the quality department before transitioning to production. Since 2019, I have been working as a Framag Operator at the Hot Rolling Production Center. I am married, I have a five-year-old daughter, and I am a devoted Fenerbahçe fan! 😊

"If Arif is There, Everything is Under Control"

What do you love most about your job?

Arif Kılıç: I love the sense of peace. When I do my job right, my supervisors know that if Arif is there, everything is under control. Providing that confidence means a lot to me.

"My Greatest Motivation: My Family"

What motivates you the most when coming to work every day?

Arif Kılıç: My family. My wife and daughter are my biggest motivations. Like everyone else, I want to earn a good income and secure a better future for my family. That is my primary reason for working hard.

"My Colleagues Feel Like Family"

What do your teammates mean to you?

Arif Kılıç: I love my colleagues. We have a great relationship at work. We often invite each other for tea and have friendly conversations. Even outside of work, we frequently meet up. Over time, our connection has gone beyond just being colleagues—we have become like family.

"Success in This Job Comes with Patience and Composure"

What advice would you give to newcomers in this profession?

Arif Kılıç: First and foremost, patience is key. Our job is not physical but mental. We monitor three computers simultaneously. Since we are at the beginning of the production process, one mistake can affect everything. If it starts incorrectly, it will continue incorrectly. That’s why being careful and patient is essential. Additionally, when a problem arises, it’s important not to panic but to find a solution. Staying calm is always an advantage.

"Hasçelik Has Always Made Me Feel Valued"

What has been your proudest moment?

Arif Kılıç: Two years ago, we received the news that my father had cancer. I told my supervisor, and they immediately arranged transportation for me to get to where I needed to be. They called me every day to check on me.

During the pandemic, I was one of the first people to contract COVID-19. My manager and supervisor came to my door to see if I needed anything. At that moment, I truly felt that the company valued me, and I was proud.

When I first started working here, they sent me a birthday card. That small gesture made me incredibly happy. Feeling valued is a wonderful thing.

"The Most Important Thing in Life Is to Remain a Good Person"

What is the most important lesson you learned from your family that you apply in your career?

Arif Kılıç: My grandfather was a farmer, and he’s now 87 years old. When I was 15, he told me:

"No matter what you become—worker, manager, or boss—never look down on anyone, and never take advantage of others. Lead not by giving orders, but by being kind. Some people mistake kindness for weakness, but in reality, being kind and respectful elevates a person."

I have never forgotten those words. I try my best to be kind in both my work and home life.

"My Only Message to My Daughter: Chase Your Dreams"

If you could leave a message for your family to read years from now, what would it be?

Arif Kılıç: I would say, "Time has flown by." If I read this message 15 years from now, my daughter will be 20. She will probably look at this interview and say, "You were so young back then!" 😊

To my daughter, I would say: I hope you work hard and achieve what you deserve. Never stop chasing your dreams.

"I Owe My Thanks to Many People"

If you could express gratitude to someone today, who would it be?

Arif Kılıç: One of the people who has supported me the most in my career is my foreman, Ümit Yavaş. He has always been there for me and helped me through difficult times. I truly owe him a lot.

I would also like to thank our Manager, Mert Bey, for always being supportive during tough times.

"This Interview Was Good for Me Too!"

Finally, is there anything else you’d like to add?

Arif Kılıç: Thank you very much. I tried to be as sincere as possible. I am really happy that you started this initiative. Sometimes, when you take a moment to reflect on your own journey, you realize just how far you’ve come. 😊

We sincerely thank Arif Kılıç for sharing his story with us, offering insights into his career journey, the strong bonds he has formed with his colleagues, and the valuable experiences he has gained along the way.
